CCTM-BT : Offer for the basic tanks of the CCTM modular tank system

Description of basic tanks of the CCTM modular cylindrical-conical tanks system

The CCTM modular cylindrical-conical tank consists of the basic tank (BT) and the modular tank accessories (MTA). Assembling tanks to many desired configurations is possible due to the big number of combinations of expansion accessory that is combined and mounted on the basic tank. It is thus possible to equip the modular tank optimal configuration for the desired part of the beverage production process.

Basic tank

Basic tank is a pressure vessel, made of stainless steel AISI 304 with respect to the food industry policy , with glossy inner surface (surface roughness 2B/2J – choice of the customer), with cylindrical upper part, conical lower part and domical upper bottom. Basic tanks are produce in these versions:

According to the maximal overpressure :

  • LP – Low pressure tank – maximal reachable overpressure 0.5 bar – usefull only for the fermenting process (beer, cider, wine) and production of low-pressure beverages (must, wine, juices)
  • HP – High pressure tank – maximal reachable overpressure 3.0 bar – usefull for fermentation, maturation, aeration/ carbonation/… , flotation, final treatment and tapping of both carbonated and non-carbonated beverages (beer, cider, sparkling wines, lemonades, …)

According to the quality and surface treatment :

  • SQ – standard quality – inner sheets of the cylindrical part SB Ra
  • HQ – high quality – inner sheets and weldings polished SJ Ra
  • TQ- top quality – inner sheets and weldings polished SJ Ra

The standard equipment of each basic tank includes :

  1. IM – Inspection Manhole – Oval manhole 450×350 mm with an arm and door in the cylindrical part of the tank (for CCT-M tanks with volume lower than 500 liters, the manhole is placed in the upper domical bottom)
  2. SV – Safety Valve – for protection of the tank against overpressure (0.5 or 3.0 bar) and underpressure (0.2 bar)
  3. CP – Sanitizing Port – TriClamp DN25 socket for connecting of the CS1 upper sanitation pipe outside the tank and the SB1 spray ball inside the tank
  4. AL – Adjustable Legs – 3 feet for tanks with a capacity up to 3,000 liters, 4 feet for larger tanks, screw feet for exact positioning and leveling tank
  5. BT – Bottom Throat – lower socket (TriClamp or dairy pipe DN125 – DN200 with accordance to the volume of the tank) for connecting the TO1 disc armature for filling and draining the tank
  6. CT – Cooling Throats – threated nypples (G 1/2″ – G 2″ with accordance to the volume of the tank) for connecting cooling system (ice water, glycol solution)
  7. CC – Cooling Channels) – channels all around the cylindrical part (always) and conical part (tanks of volume higher than 500 liters) for circulation of cooling liquid and for cooling or eventually for heating of the tanks
  8. TS – Thermometer Sockets – welded sockets DN8 for intallation of sensors for measuring the temperature and for regulation of the temperature in the tanks
  9. HE – Handling Eyes – for manipulation the tank with help of hanging technics
  10. LC – Ladder Consoles – for easy entry to the upper part of the tank using the stainless steel ladder LAD
  11. FC – Fixing Consoles – for safety fixing of the CS2 side sanitation pipe and the fill level indicator set LIS with threaded clamps
  12. SV -Sample Valve socket – TriClamp DN10 socket for connecting the SV1 sample valve
  13. MT – Multifunction Throat – TriClamp socket (with accordance to the volume of the tank DN25 – DN60) for connection of additional armatures like CC1 aeration/carbonation candle, the Hop Extractor for dry hopping of beer or the flotation machine for puring of fruit must
