Recommended solutions for the yeast management
We make our microbrewery equipment for yeast management in the optimal size for the chosen microbrewery technology, or according to individual customer requirements.
Small microbreweries (brewhouse 1.5 – 3 HL)
- Acquisition of new yeast – buying from bigger breweries or of yeast laboratories
- The lifetime of yeast – usually 4-6 applications according to the conditions of proper storage and washing
- Storage of yeast – a simple glass or plastic container in a dedicated refrigerator
- The dosage of yeast in fermentation vessels – hand pouring of yeast into the fermentation vessel
- Collection of the yeast in fermentation vessels – manually by draining the yeast into a beaker
- Regeneration of yeast – manually by simply casting the upper layer of dead yeast from the beaker after subsidence of the infusion of yeast
Included accessories solutions for small microbreweries:
- 1x calibrated glass beaker – for dosing, collection and washing yeast
- 3x sealable plastic container for storage of yeast
Optional accessories:
- Refrigerator for storage of yeast in jars
- Refrigerated container and regenerator of yeast (pressurized / non-pressurized)
- A diaphragm pump for pumping yeast from / to non-pressurized container
Middle microbreweries (brewhouse 5.0 – 20 HL)
- Acquisition of new yeast – buying from bigger breweries or yeast laboratories
- The lifetime of yeast – usually 4-6 applications according to the conditions of proper storage and washing
- Storage of yeast – a glycol-cooled insulated container . For fermentation in open fermentation vats non-pressurized, for fermentation in cylindrical-conical tanks pressurized. In the brewery the number of containers corresponds with the number of used yeast strains.
- The dosage of yeast in fermentation vessels – in open fermentation vats manually pouring the dose of yeast from cans, in cylindrical-conical tanks by injecting doses of yeast through the bottom valve in the tip of the cone.
- Collection of the yeast in fermentation vessels – for open fermentation tubs manually draining the yeast into the beaker and pouring it into a yeast container, for cylindrical-conical tanks draining through bottom valve in the cone of the tank (the blasting of yeast) and then pouring by pressure hose directly into a yeast container.
- Regeneration of yeast – separation of the layer of dead yeast in the yeast regenerator
Included accessories solutions for small microbreweries:
- 1x glass calibrated beaker for dosing and washing of yeast
- 1 x jacketed glycol-cooled insulated container for yeast (pressurized / non-pressurized according to the selected fermentation technology) – the number of containers corresponds with the number of used yeast strains
Optional accessories:
- Additional containers for yeast (the number corresponds to the number of used yeast strains)
- Membrane pump for pumping yeast from / to non-pressurized container
Big microbreweries ( brewhouse 30-80 HL)
- Acquisition of new yeast – buying germs of yeast strains from specialized laboratories and yeast banks in the form of so-called slant agar
- The lifetime of yeast – usually 6 to 12 months in well-controlled propagation of yeast. The life of one brewery produced dose is 4-6 applications.
- Storage of yeast – glycol cooled insulated container. For fermentation in open fermentation tubs non-pressurized, for fermentation in cylindrical-conical tanks pressurized.
- The dosage of yeast in fermentation vessels – in open fermentation tubs hand pouring
dose of yeast from cans, in cylindrical-conical tanks manually pouring from cans or pressurized by injecting doses of the yeast through the bottom valve on cone . - Collection of the yeast in fermentation vessels – for open fermentation tubs manually draining the yeast into the can and pouring it into a yeast container, for cylindrical-conical tanks draining through the bottom valve in the cone of the tank (the blasting of yeast) and then pouring by pressure hose directly into a yeast container.
- Regeneration of yeast – separation of the layer of dead yeast into a yeast regenerator
Included accessories solutions for larger microbreweries :
- 3 x jacketed glycol-cooled insulated container for yeast (pressurized / non-pressurized for selected technology of fermentation) – the number of containers corresponds to the number of used yeast strains
- CIP station for yeast propagation station– accessories of the yeast propagation station
- Fermentation starting tank – accessories of the yeast propagation station
Optional accessories :
- Additional yeast containers ( the number corresponds to the number of containers of used yeast strains)
- Membrane pump for pumping yeast from / to non-pressurized container
